Join friends of Patrol Special Police
Officer Jane Warner at noon on Monday, Nov.
7, 2011 in the
Jane Warner Plaza (17th and Market Sts.) to
informally remember Jane and celebrate her
birthday and her 18 year contribution to
public safety.
On
November 7, 2010 the Castro neighborhood
and many friends and family of Officer Jane
joined with Supervisor Bevan Dufty to unveil
the plaque and naming of the pedestrian
plaza at 17th and Market Streets the "Jane
Warner Plaza" (authorized
by unanimous vote of the Board of
Supervisors or Oct. 5, click on #16). Twin
beacons now stand in the Castro, one
honoring Harvey Milk, San Francisco's first
gay Mayor, and the other honoring much-loved
Officer Jane, who will be remembered forever
for her remarkable life of service to
beloved clients and neighbors in the Castro,
Noe, and the Mission.
